Location: Zion, IL
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to join our team in Zion, IL. As a District-Wide School Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the social, emotional, and academic well-being of students across our district. Your expertise in assessment, intervention, and collaboration will contribute to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, social-emotional functioning, and academic skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement effective intervention plans and strategies for students with diverse learning and behavioral needs.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support to students and families during challenging situations.
  • Support teachers in implementing evidence-based strategies and interventions to enhance classroom management, positive behavior support, and academic success.
  • Provide consultation and professional development to teachers, administrators, and parents on topics related to student mental health, learning disabilities, and behavior management.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and other relevant meetings to contribute to the development and review of students' educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist in Illinois (MUST HAVE PEL).
  • Previous experience working as a School Psychologist in a school or district setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of assessment tools and techniques used in school psychology.
