Job Title: Full-time School-Based LPN - Seizure Monitoring & Student Care

Location: Lake in the Hills, IL

Hours: 6:45 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and caring Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) looking for an impactful role in a school setting? We are seeking an LPN to provide comprehensive care and seizure monitoring for a group of students with seizure disorders. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these students while working as part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor students with seizure disorders during school hours, including bus rides, to ensure their safety and well-being.
Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, under the guidance of the school nurse or healthcare professionals.
Assist in developing and implementing individualized healthcare plans for each student.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to provide the best care and support for students.
Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with all school health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid license in Illinois.
Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred.
Experience with seizure management preferred
Compassion, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
