Job Description
A healthcare facility in Racine, WI is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment starting February 16, 2026, through May 21, 2026. This position offers a consistent day shift schedule with three 12.5-hour shifts per week from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, including every other weekend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care and therapeutic interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
- Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and airway maintenance
- Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas analysis
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Wisconsin state Respiratory Therapist license
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NBRC credentials
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Schedule:
- Day shift: 6:00 AM 6:30 PM
- Three shifts per week
- Every other weekend required
