Job Description

A healthcare facility in Racine, WI is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment starting February 16, 2026, through May 21, 2026. This position offers a consistent day shift schedule with three 12.5-hour shifts per week from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, including every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care and therapeutic interventions for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Administer oxygen therapy, ventilator management, and airway maintenance
  • Perform diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas analysis
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and adjust patient care plans
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Current Wisconsin state Respiratory Therapist license
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NBRC credentials
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Schedule:

  • Day shift: 6:00 AM 6:30 PM
  • Three shifts per week
  • Every other weekend required
