Job Description
Seeking an experienced professional with a background in pediatric respiratory care for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role is ideal for a dedicated Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist passionate about making a difference in pediatric patient outcomes. The position offers a dynamic environment where your expertise is highly valued.
Schedule:
- Night shift: 6:30 pm 7:00 am
- Rotating weekends
Qualifications:
- Active credential as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
- Recent experience in a pediatric respiratory setting strongly preferred
- Ability to start as soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy to pediatric patients
- Administer and monitor treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Conduct assessments, document patient progress, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team
- Manage ventilators and other respiratory equipment with strict adherence to pediatric standards
- Perform rapid-response interventions as needed for acute respiratory distress
- Uphold rigorous infection prevention protocols and maintain a clean, safe patient care environment
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
