Job Description

Make a significant impact in a pediatric-focused respiratory care role supporting patients and clinical teams in a respected healthcare environment. This contract opportunity offers an immediate start, with a 13-week duration and the opportunity to utilize your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shift: 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Demonstrated experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a pediatric setting (PEDs)
  • Current certifications: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy treatments to pediatric patients, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway care
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to develop and adjust respiratory care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate patients' responses to therapy interventions; document findings and communicate changes appropriately
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate in rapid response/resuscitation efforts as needed
  • Foster a supportive, child- and family-centered care environment
