A contract opportunity is open for a skilled professional with expertise as a Respiratory Therapist. In this role, you'll utilize your clinical knowledge and caring nature to provide critical respiratory care to patients, working alongside a collaborative healthcare team.
Schedule:
- 3 shifts per week
- 12-hour night shifts
Qualifications:
- Credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Active and valid Respiratory Therapy license
- Familiarity with current respiratory care procedures and best practices
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse care team
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy to patients as ordered by providers
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including airway management and ventilator support
- Monitor patient responses and adjust treatments as necessary
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory care and equipment use
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of all interventions
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health team members to ensure the highest level of patient care
