Job Description
Step into a vital role providing expert respiratory care in a short-term acute care facility with 232 staffed beds. This contract position requires a skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist with a Tennessee license in hand and a minimum of two years of professional experience. Youll work night shifts (3x12-hour, 19:0007:00) with rotating weekends in a collaborative, state-of-the-art environment.
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 3x12 hours (19:0007:00)
- Rotating weekend requirement
- Guaranteed hours with allowance for a 12-hour call-off per two weeks
Qualifications:
- Active TN license (required)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- At least 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience; first-time travelers not accepted
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- NRP and nursery experience preferred, but not mandatory
- No pending license acceptance; must have all credentials prior to start
- Locals not accepted within a 50-mile radius
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive respiratory care within a multidisciplinary team
- Work exclusively in assigned area (no floating outside scope)
- Adhere to hospital-specific guidelines including smoke-free policies and appearance standards
- Use Paragon for charting and documentation
Additional Information:
- Facility accommodates inked professionalstattoos below the neck are allowed (inappropriate tattoos must be covered)
- Facial piercings (other than ears) must be removed while on duty
- Both flu and COVID vaccine declination may be considered on a case-by-case basis
- Providers choice of scrub color
