Job Description

This opportunity is ideal for a skilled Respiratory Therapist seeking a contract role with a reputable healthcare provider. The position is scheduled for three 12-hour night shifts each week, ensuring a consistent and manageable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessment, treatment, and management of patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer and monitor oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and various respiratory care modalities.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
  • Conduct arterial blood gas analysis, airway management, and emergency response procedures as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient progress, and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to infection prevention protocols and up-to-date compliance with clinical standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Valid state licensure as required for practice.
  • Previous experience in acute care or hospital settings is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in respiratory care modalities, ventilator management, and therapeutic procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Detail-oriented approach to patient care and documentation.
