Job Description

Schedule:

  • 3 shifts per week
  • 12-hour night shifts

Qualifications:

  • Active credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Valid licensure in respiratory therapy in the relevant state
  • Demonstrated experience in acute care or hospital environments
  • Proficiency in critical respiratory interventions, patient assessment, and ventilator management
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Current BLS certification required

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy and care for patients of varying acuity levels
  • Perform patient assessments and administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed
  • Manage and monitor ventilators and other respiratory equipment
  • Accurately document therapy, assessments, and patient responses in medical records
  • Provide patient and family education about respiratory care plans
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
  • Respond rapidly to respiratory emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations
