Job Description

Respiratory Therapists with a proven track record are invited to apply for a contract assignment in a dynamic short-term acute care setting. This role requires advanced clinical competencies and a proactive approach to patient care, specifically for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) professionals.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 07:00)
  • Rotating weekends required
  • No on-call
  • Guaranteed hours with call-off: max 12 hours per 2 weeks

Qualifications:

  • Active Tennessee respiratory therapy license
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a respiratory therapist; first-time travelers are not eligible
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Nursery experience and NRP certification preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to comply with smoke-free and professional appearance policies (tattoos below the neck allowed if appropriate, non-ear piercing jewelry removed)
  • Open to candidates outside a 50-mile radius only; locals not accepted
  • Pending licenses not accepted

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy care in alignment with facility protocols
  • Perform advanced procedures and assessments for respiratory needs in adult and select pediatric populations
  • Utilize Paragon for charting and documentation
  • Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with all infection control, safety, and privacy standards
  • No floating outside core competencies

  • Work in a 232-bed facility
