Key Qualifications:

  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Recent experience in critical care environments strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage ventilator protocols and make independent, informed clinical decisions
  • Competent in delivering patient and family education
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and provide expert respiratory care using the evaluate-and-treat process
  • Deliver care for patients with multiple and complex conditions, primarily in critical care units
  • Manage ventilator protocols independently and act as a resource for other clinical staff
  • Educate patients and their support systems on treatment protocols and ongoing care needs
  • Participate in the education and development of new employees and colleagues
  • Address the holistic needs of each patient, considering biological, emotional, developmental, and psychosocial factors
