As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, youll gain hands-on experience at a teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma Designationan excellent environment for professional development with exposure to a wide array of patient cases, from post-surgical to high-acuity respiratory needs.
Youll work closely with lead therapists in both adult and pediatric specialties, bolstering your clinical skills, learning new technologies, and collaborating with a cohesive department recognized for its exceptional teamwork and seasoned leadership. Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 18:30 07:00
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call requirement
- 75% of holidays expected
- Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- NC Respiratory Therapy license and RRT required
- BLS and ACLS required for adult roles; PALS and NRP required for NICU/Peds
- Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
- Previous Level 1 trauma or high-acuity experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience advantageous
- Familiarity with respiratory equipment (Servo U, The Vest, Volara, etc.); pediatric specialists with HFJV/HFOV a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to diverse patient populations across ICU and medical/surgical units
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
- Deliver care using advanced technologies and department-specific equipment
- Adapt to varying workloads based on unit needs
- Actively engage in departmental orientation and ongoing education
