Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver critical and basic respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, following physician orders and established protocols.
- Maintain a high degree of independence in performing tasks, while providing oversight and direction to delegated staff as needed.
- Administer respiratory therapy in accordance with department standards and the most current procedural guidelines.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of patient documentation, including electronic medical records, flow sheets, and billing charges.
- Uphold a patient-centered approach while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- Demonstrated expertise in providing respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients.
- Ability to exercise sound clinical judgment independently and when supervising colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
- Previous experience in a similar hospital setting is highly valued.
