Position Details:

  • Location: Temple, TX
  • Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Job Type: Contract with temp to perm potential
  • Travel: Yes, flexible to travel required

Core Responsibilities:

  • Administer and direct respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry.
  • Review physician orders and diagnostic results to provide tailored respiratory therapies.
  • Perform pediatric respiratory treatments prioritizing patient needs in critical care settings.
  • Instruct patients and families in the use of respiratory equipment and techniques.
  • Document treatments thoroughly and report outcomes with recommendations.
  • Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, safety, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate professionally with healthcare team members and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Required: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
  • Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Minimum 4 years experience in general pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and electronic documentation skills.
