A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) specializing in pediatric cardiopulmonary care. Position Details:
- Location: Temple, TX
- Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Job Type: Contract with temp to perm potential
- Travel: Yes, flexible to travel required
Core Responsibilities:
- Administer and direct respiratory care services including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, airway clearance, invasive and non-invasive ventilation, and bedside spirometry.
- Review physician orders and diagnostic results to provide tailored respiratory therapies.
- Perform pediatric respiratory treatments prioritizing patient needs in critical care settings.
- Instruct patients and families in the use of respiratory equipment and techniques.
- Document treatments thoroughly and report outcomes with recommendations.
- Adhere to infection control, HIPAA, safety, and professional standards.
- Collaborate professionally with healthcare team members and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Required: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
- Preferred: Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- Minimum 4 years experience in general pediatrics and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and electronic documentation skills.
