Advance your healthcare career in Long Term Acute Care as a Respiratory Therapist, delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy for patients with complex needs. This contract assignment emphasizes critical care expertise and clinical excellence while allowing you to make a meaningful impact.
Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour night shifts
- 6:30 PM 6:30 AM
- No on-call required
Qualifications:
- Current and active Florida RT license (must be in hand before start)
- Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Long Term Acute Care or similar setting
- Strong background in critical care
- RRT preferred; CRT accepted with appropriate experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with advanced respiratory techniques and ventilator management
- Strong communication skills to interact with multidisciplinary teams and provide patient/family education
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and deliver respiratory care to patients with acute or chronic respiratory disorders
- Monitor patient responses and adjust interventions as necessary
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and advanced airway management procedures
- Operate and maintain respiratory equipment safely and effectively
- Document all treatments and patient responses in the medical record with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
