Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position; specific hours and shifts will be discussed during the interview process
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Experience with pediatric respiratory care
- Proficiency in aerosol therapies (MDI/DPI), airway clearance techniques, and advanced ventilatory support
- Competence in blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation
- Familiarity with bar coding medication administration and electronic health record documentation
- Neonatal Resuscitation Protocol (NRP) and high-risk delivery support
- Strong communication and patient/family education skills
Responsibilities Include:
- Administering medicated aerosol and various nebulizer therapies
- Airway clearance and mechanical ventilation management, including CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV
- Conducting ventilator system checks, adjusting settings, and monitoring patient response
- Providing tracheostomy, manual ventilation, and intubation assistance
- Managing nitric oxide therapy and high-frequency chest wall oscillation
- Blood gas collection, diagnostic analysis, and accurate documentation
- Supporting transport teams with portable ventilation and HFNC
- Educating patients and families on therapies and equipment usage
- Assuring proper cleaning, calibration, and upkeep of respiratory care equipment
