Job Description
A travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) role is available in San Luis Obispo, CA, offering the opportunity to provide essential respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently as well as oversee others when delegated. The therapist will deliver both basic and advanced respiratory care to patients with respiratory diseases, following physician orders and department protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory care procedures for adult and geriatric patients.
- Administer therapeutic treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and respond accordingly.
- Document all care activities, including electronic medical records and flow sheets.
- Ensure compliance with all respiratory care policies and procedures.
- Supervise other respiratory care staff, as delegated.
- Complete accurate billing and charge entry for provided services.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage delegated supervision.
- Experience providing respiratory care to adult and geriatric populations.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and compliance with clinical protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
