Desired Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Valid state license as required
- Minimum of one year of recent hospital-based respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Proficiency in delivering a full spectrum of respiratory care modalities
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy and life support to patients with compromised pulmonary function
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including ventilator management and arterial blood gas analysis
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status, progress, and response to treatment
- Work in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and their families regarding respiratory conditions and therapies
- Adhere to infection control protocols and safety regulations
