This assignment enables you to work within an acclaimed hospital setting recognized as a Level 2 Trauma Center and a Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke Center. Youll engage with a diverse patient population across adult critical care, trauma, and multiple ICUs, expanding your clinical repertoire and experiencing innovative leadership and advanced workplace practices. By working with the latest equipment and collaborating with top-tier practitioners, youll build your resume with high-impact cases and comprehensive learning opportunities.
Schedule/Hours
- Nights, 3x12 shifts (18:30 07:00)
- 36 hours/week, 13-week assignment
- Weekend and call hours as required
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active Missouri licensure
- BLS and ACLS (AHA required); PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in adult critical care and high-volume, trauma ED
- Proficiency with equipment such as Avea ventilators, LTV transport, V60 Bipap, Vapo therm and Airvo
- Strong skills in blood gas draws, processing, and interpretation preferred
- Excellent time management and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory care services across SICU, CCU, CVICU, ED, Neuro, and Trauma units
- Manage ventilators and high-flow devices
- Float as needed to support patient needs throughout the hospital
- Maintain high documentation standards in EPIC EMR
- Uphold infection control and patient safety standards
