This assignment is perfect for a Registered Respiratory Therapist eager to enhance their professional portfolio through exposure to high-acuity cases and a variety of medical specialties. Youll collaborate with skilled teams, develop critical care proficiency in specialized areas, and gain valuable experience with advanced workplace practices and leadership models.
Schedule & Assignment Details:
- Night shifts: 3x12s, 6:30 pm 7:00 am
- 36 hours/week guaranteed, 13-week assignment
- Weekend and call coverage as required
- Flu vaccination (or Mercy approved exemption) required between Nov 1Apr 1
Qualifications:
- Active RRT, licensed in Missouri
- BLS & ACLS (AHA required); PALS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience
- Adult critical care and trauma experience
- High volume, busy ED background preferred
- Confidence with blood gas procedures and interpretation is a plus
Duties:
- Deliver respiratory therapy across multiple specialty units including SICU, CCU, CVICU, Neuro, and ED
- Utilize advanced equipment (Avea and LTV ventilators, V60 Bipap, Vapo therm)
- Float to various units as needed
- Efficiently manage time and workload, supporting colleagues as needed
