This travel opportunity is ideal for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist eager to expand their skills in a dynamic NICU transport environment. Gain exposure to leading-edge equipment, including Hamilton vents, Cross Vent, and TXP systems, and collaborate with a highly skilled team that values innovative patient care. Youll master new documentation systems, embrace unique leadership styles, and build your resume with advanced neonatal transport and critical care experience.
Schedule and Hours
- 23 shifts per week
- NICU Unit; Main Building
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of NICU transport experience
- RRT or CRT credential required
- NRP and PALS certifications required (STABLE preferred)
- Advanced neonatal airway & ventilation, including ventilator management (CPAP/NIV, HFOV)
- Transport operations: physiology, isolette systems, EMS integration
- Proficiency with neonatal critical care issues (RDS, MAS, PPHN, BPD, sepsis)
- Strong communication for team coordination and handoffs
- Detail-oriented documentation and recordkeeping
Responsibilities
- Manage neonatal airway, stabilization, and transport ventilation
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced transport equipment and monitoring systems
- Ensure safe transport physiology and EMS compliance
- Perform and document interventions (bag-mask ventilation, advanced airways, line placements, ABGs/CBGs)
- Prioritize patient safety and infection control
