Job Description

A Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care is needed to provide advanced cardiopulmonary services at a well-regarded hospital in Renton, WA. This travel position offers the chance to apply specialized respiratory care protocols for both inpatient and outpatient populations under physician guidance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures
  • Deliver medicated aerosols using medical compressed gas systems
  • Manage airways and ventilators, including intubations and arterial line insertions
  • Conduct pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and analyze blood gases
  • Follow established medical staff protocols and department policies

Qualifications and Certifications Required:

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification
  • Valid Washington state Respiratory Therapist license
  • ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
  • Experience in acute care respiratory therapy preferred
