This travel assignment is ideal for experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists seeking exposure to cutting-edge practices within both adult and neonatal critical care. Working alongside a variety of healthcare leaders, you'll expand your skill set and gain valuable insights into diverse care protocols and leadership styles.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift: 1800-0630
- Days: Variable
- On Call: As needed
Key Qualifications:
- Must reside at least 100 miles from Reno, NV
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with valid credentials
- ABG License required
- Active ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Minimum 3+ years experience in level 3 NICU, including high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, heliox, bubble CPAP, heated high flow for neonates, neonatal intubation, ventilator management, arterial puncture, and delivery attendance
- NICU transport experience preferred
- Confident working across all adult and neonatal critical care areas
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver physician-prescribed respiratory care, including assessment, therapy, and education for patients with cardiopulmonary abnormalities
- Obtain and interpret physiological data, perform diagnostic tests, and analyze specimens
- Manage mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airway care, hemodynamic support, and pharmacological respiratory therapies
- Provide bronchopulmonary hygiene and participate in cardiopulmonary rehab
- Float seamlessly between units as needed, including on-call coverage
