12-Hour Night Shifts
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join a fully functional 24/7 in-house Respiratory Therapy department. This role supports a diverse patient population across a 6-bed ICU, Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical units, Pediatrics, and low-volume newborn stabilization.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience
- Local candidates not accepted; permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility
- New York State license must be active and in hand prior to submission
- BLS
- ACLS
- CRT
- NRP
- Strong adult critical-care and ED experience
Required Clinical Skills
- Nasal and oral airway placement
- Nasal and oral suctioning
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Pulmonary hygiene
- Sputum specimen collection
- Mechanical ventilation management and weaning
- BiPAP and CPAP
- HFNC
- ABG interpretation
- Aerosol therapy and medication administration
- Invasive and noninvasive ventilator management
Patient Population
- Primarily adult patients
- ICU and Emergency Department
- Medical/Surgical patients
- Pediatric patients
- Low-volume newborn stabilization prior to transport
- May occasionally perform EKGs after hours to support Cardiology
Preferred ventilator experience:
- Servo I
- LTV
- Hamilton T1
Compensation: $2,056 weekly!
