Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts scheduled 23 times per week

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years NICU Transport experience required
  • Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist credentials (RRT/CRT)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; STABLE certification preferred
  • Annual transport competencies
  • Expertise in neonatal airway and ventilation (mask/bag ventilation, stabilization, conventional/hybrid/HFOV/CPAP/HFNC ventilator management, use of transport ventilators)
  • Advanced understanding of transport physiology, including safe operation and troubleshooting of isolette systems
  • Proficient with EMS integration, patient assessment, documentation, and crisis management
  • Point-of-care testing, equipment management, and infection control within a transport environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage advanced neonatal airways and critical care interventions during ground and air transport
  • Apply safety protocols, respiratory support, and emergency procedures in various environments
  • Communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring efficient, safe handoffs and documentation
  • Assist with stabilization procedures, including line placements and point-of-care diagnostics
