Schedule:
- 6:00 pm 6:00 am shifts
- Varied days with every other weekend required
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
- Valid ABG license
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Previous experience in stabilization and ventilation of neonates (NICU experience not required; ability to manage neonates until air transport arrives)
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the assignment location
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care and therapy to patients across all age groups
- Perform diagnostic evaluations including physiological specimen collection, test interpretation, and cardiopulmonary studies
- Manage mechanical ventilatory support, artificial airways, and respiratory technology
- Conduct bronchopulmonary hygiene, administer pharmacological treatments, and provide cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and equipment
- Collaborate in urgent response scenarios to stabilize neonates awaiting advanced transport
