Stepping into this Level III Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility will expose you to leading-edge practices, diverse workplace cultures, and innovative leadership in respiratory therapy. This is an exceptional opportunity to strengthen your resume as you care for a variety of patient populationsincluding mostly adults and geriatrics, with the added challenge of pediatric patients in the ED. Your ability to float between units will further grow your skill set in numerous clinical settings.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
  • Up to 7 days of time off can be approved
  • On call: Varies
  • Holiday expectations: Varies
  • Block scheduling not available
  • Adherence to a maximum of 60 hours/week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts due to fatigue policy

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Strong skills in vent management, CPAP, BiPap, nebulizer treatments, arterial line placement, intubation, vent weaning/extubation, and ABG analysis
  • Experience with EPIC charting, Pyxis, and various ventilator systems including AVEA, Servo U, LPU 1200, parapack for MRI, and Hamilton for transport

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to adults, geriatrics, and pediatric patients (in ED)
  • Perform advanced airway management and ventilation procedures
  • Float between units as needed to meet hospital demands
  • Document accurately using EPIC
