Role Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year respiratory care experience (first-time travelers considered upon review)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- CRT or RRT credential required
- Covid-19 vaccination
- Solid skills in vent management, CPAP, BiPAP, nebs, A-line placement, intubation, vent weaning, extubation, and ABG analysis
- Experience with AVEA, Servo U, LPU 1200, parapack, and Hamilton ventilators
- EPIC and Pyxis proficiency preferred
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekend shifts (every other weekend)
- On-call as needed
- Time-off up to 7 days can be approved
- Adherence to fatigue policy: max 60 hours per week, 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy to predominantly adult and geriatric patients, with some pediatric cases in the ED
- Maintain 1:1 patient ratios
- Float across all hospital units as needed
- Complete at least one orientation shift
