Key Qualifications:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required
  • Proficient in pediatric respiratory care practices
  • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Active state license in good standing

Skills & Experience Desired:

  • Medicated aerosol therapies (variety of delivery methods, patient education)
  • Airway clearance and management techniques (PEP, hyperinflation, suctioning, tracheostomy care, ventilator system checks)
  • Pediatric and neonatal care, including high-risk delivery, surfactant administration, and NRP protocols
  • Interpretation of blood gas samples and various monitoring modalities (pulse oximetry, capnography, transcutaneous CO2, ventilator graphic analysis)
  • Proficiency in respiratory therapy protocols, including nitric oxide and oxygen therapies, use, and troubleshooting of advanced equipment
  • Experience with equipment cleaning and infection control practices

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care, including aerosol and airway therapies, to pediatric patients
  • Participate in critical transports and specialized care initiatives (including MRI and rapid response)
  • Educate patients and families on therapies and interventions
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement best clinical practices
