As a Registered Respiratory Therapist working in a dynamic, 507-bed hospital with 57 bassinettes, you'll provide care across various unitsfrom Adult and Neurosurgical ICUs to the NICU, medical-surgical floors, emergency department, and beyond. This placement will challenge you with a wide patient population and the latest respiratory care technology, enhancing your clinical skills and giving you valuable experience with forward-thinking leadership and protocols.
Schedule/Hours:
- 4 out of 7 days/week (rotational coverage throughout the hospital)
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting, with at least 1 year in Adult ICU
- Proficient with EPIC charting
- Effective communicator and comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment
Responsibilities:
- Deliver respiratory therapy services across all assigned units, including ventilator management (Drager vents, V60/V30), CPAP/BiPAP, vest therapy, metaneb, Airvo, Vapotherm, and Nitric Oxide delivery (NOxBox)
- Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic respiratory illnesses
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
