Key Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Previous experience in an acute care or hospital environment is highly desirable
- Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and advanced respiratory therapy procedures, including ventilator management, airway clearance, and oxygen administration
- Administer and monitor respiratory treatments and therapies as ordered by physicians
- Assess patient respiratory status and respond to emergencies as needed
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment usage, and disease management
- Maintain and ensure the proper functioning of respiratory equipment and supplies
