Essential Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Experience with adult and pediatric patient populations in acute care settings
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills
- Must adapt quickly in fast-paced hospital environments
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care to a diverse range of patients
- Assess, plan, and implement care plans based on physician directives and patient needs
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide advanced airway management when required
- Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen devices, and other respiratory equipment
- Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and home care procedures
- Maintain detailed documentation and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings
