Schedule/Hours:
- Travel position with flexible scheduling
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification
- Current and valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (preferred or as required)
- Strong clinical assessment and judgement skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and team dynamics
Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional image and deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
- Administer direct patient care and execute respiratory care and hyperbaric procedures (if specially trained) in all facility areas
- Organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of therapies
- Participate in educational activities and departmental meetings
- Document and maintain accurate records, charts, and reports
- Rapid and precise response to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts
- Evaluate patient care and make recommendations as needed
- Perform specialized procedures, including pulmonary functions, methacholine challenges, NICU/PICU care, and asthma education (for those trained)
- Take on other assigned duties as required
