As a traveling Registered Respiratory Therapist, you'll gain hands-on experience in varied adult acute care settings including ICU, PCU, ED, and floor therapy. Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 pm 7:30 am
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Holidays as needed
- No block scheduling
Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC certification
- Valid New York State license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care experience
- For non-U.S. candidates, 2 years of U.S. work experience mandatory
- Must reside over 50 miles from Fairport, NY
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to adult patients in ICU, PCU, ED, and on general therapy floors
- Collaborate closely with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals
- Administer a variety of respiratory therapies and life support procedures
- Accurately document care and assess treatment effectiveness
- React quickly and calmly to emergency situations, prioritizing patient safety
