Job Description

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatrics to provide expert respiratory care in a travel role based in Euclid, OH. This position emphasizes delivering specialized respiratory therapies and managing complex pediatric airway situations with precision and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medicated aerosol therapies using small volume nebulizers, breath-actuated nebulizers, vibrating mesh nebulizers, and more.
  • Educate patients and families on aerosol, MDI, DPI therapy, and associated equipment.
  • Perform airway clearance therapies including clapping, vibration, PEP devices, high-frequency chest wall oscillation, and cough assist techniques.
  • Manage airway care with suctioning, tracheostomy care, manual ventilation, ventilator checks, and CPAP/BiPAP/NIMV support.
  • Support high-risk delivery protocols such as surfactant administration, neonatal resuscitation (NRP), and intubation.
  • Conduct blood gas sampling and interpret results to guide respiratory management.
  • Provide humidity therapy using heated aerosol masks, trach collars, and HME devices.
  • Follow clinical practice guidelines tailored to conditions like asthma, cystic fibrosis, RDS, BPD prevention, acute chest syndrome, and nitric oxide therapy.
  • Monitor patients using pulse oximetry, peak flow meters, capnography, ventilator graphics, and continuous monitoring studies.
  • Participate in patient transport using specialized equipment including HFNC portable units and neonatal response teams.
  • Handle oxygen and special gas therapy setups including inhaled nitric oxide calibration and troubleshooting.

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
