Professionally, youll gain first-hand exposure to advanced respiratory practices within a 419-bed unit, alongside a collaborative team of skilled RTs, supervisors, and other healthcare specialists. This environment will not only broaden your clinical knowledge through the use of state-of-the-art equipment like V60 Bipap, Vapotherms, Avea & Hamilton ventilators, and EPOC ABG analyzers, but also allow you to develop your leadership and critical decision-making abilities by working with diverse cases and seasoned professionals.
Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend required (Saturday & Sunday)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Proficiency in treatment procedures as ordered by physicians
- Flexibility to float to respiratory areas as needed
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in critical care settings
- NRP & PALS certifications highly regarded
- EMR proficiency (MEDITECH)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
- Administer oxygen and aerosol therapy
- Perform arterial punctures and non-invasive ventilation procedures
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary staff on both day and night shifts
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
