Skills, Certification & Experience:

  • Graduate of a COARC approved Respiratory Care Program with current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential per NBRC guidelines
  • BLS (can be obtained within 90 days)
  • NRP certification (within 6 months of hire)
  • At least one year of hospital-based respiratory care experience
  • Pulmonary diagnostics and cardiac diagnostics (EKG, Holter Monitor, Event Monitor, Cardiac Stress Testing) experience preferred
  • Able to legally work in the U.S. and pass background, drug, and health screenings
  • Commitment to ongoing education and compliance with hospital policies

Core Responsibilities:

  • Perform and document all respiratory care procedures with accuracy and in accordance with department protocols
  • Verify physician orders and ensure the safe, effective delivery of therapeutic interventions across specialties
  • Complete patient assessments, including airway management and ventilation, and recommend appropriate treatments
  • Assist with intubation, perform arterial blood gas draws, and demonstrate proper use of equipment
  • Engage in ongoing education, team meetings, and assist with orientation/training of new staff
  • Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
