Key Qualifications:

• Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current state licensure as required
• Previous clinical experience in an acute care or hospital setting strongly preferred
• Proficient in administering and monitoring respiratory treatments, ventilators, and oxygen therapies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient and family education
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• BLS certification (ACLS preferred)

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct respiratory care including assessment, treatment, and evaluation of patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
• Administer therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as nebulizer treatments, arterial blood gas collection, and pulmonary function testing
• Manage and monitor mechanical ventilators and related equipment
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other medical professionals to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, equipment use, and home care techniques
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility protocols and regulatory standards
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond to emergencies promptly and appropriately
