Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Valid BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience as a respiratory therapist
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills
  • Experience with ventilators, arterial blood gases, and advanced respiratory procedures

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality respiratory therapy to patients of varying acuity
  • Administering therapies such as oxygen, aerosol treatments, and chest physiotherapy
  • Monitoring and adjusting ventilator support
  • Performing arterial and capillary blood sampling, interpreting results, and collaborating with physicians to determine care plans
  • Educating patients and families on respiratory care techniques and equipment
  • Maintaining accurate, thorough patient records
