Qualifications:
- Active Respiratory Therapist license (RRT required)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a Pediatric ICU (PICU) or Neonatal ICU (NICU)
- Demonstrated proficiency in advanced pediatric and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Ability to respond confidently in high-acuity, fast-paced clinical settings
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional care and advocacy for pediatric patients and their families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide routine and critical respiratory care to pediatric and neonatal patients, including aerosolized medications, ventilator management, CPT, and oxygen therapy
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patients progress, adjusting interventions as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses
- Educate patients families on respiratory equipment and care processes
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory standards
