An experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist is needed to provide expert respiratory care at a healthcare facility near Carbondale, CO. This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment focused on delivering critical care to patients of all ages and acuity levels. The role involves working two 12-hour day shifts per week with no on-call responsibilities, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Responsibilities include advanced respiratory care and diagnostic procedures for cardiopulmonary patients, with an emphasis on critical care ventilator management. The position requires expertise in neonatal and pediatric care, including Level 2 NICU experience, ensuring comprehensive care across all patient populations.

Qualifications:

  • NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) not accepted
  • Valid Colorado RRT license in good standing (DORA-RT)
  • Completion of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Current American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP (AAP), all required
  • Minimum of 5 years of respiratory therapy experience
  • Demonstrated skills across adult, pediatric, and Level 2 NICU care
  • Experience as a traveler preferred; not suitable for first traveler assignments
