A professional opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies. This contract assignment involves collaborating closely with physicians and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients to determine appropriate types and frequency of respiratory treatments
- Develop individualized care plans based on diagnoses and ongoing evaluations
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, adjusting equipment and therapies as necessary
- Document, monitor, and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and administer prescribed respiratory medications
- Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory interventions and modify treatments according to patient responses
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources
- Serve as a member of the emergency resuscitation team and respond to code situations
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- Valid state license to practice respiratory care
- Solid experience in acute care or hospital-based respiratory therapy
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of respiratory equipment, therapies, and best practices
