Seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist for a contract opportunity to provide essential care for individuals with respiratory insufficiencies. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in patient assessment, treatment planning, and hands-on respiratory therapy in an acute care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients presenting with respiratory complications and assess the type and frequency of therapy needed.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans in accordance with medical diagnoses and patient needs.
- Implement and closely monitor respiratory support, utilizing advanced equipment and clinical modalities.
- Track, record, and communicate changes in patient condition to the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Perform advanced respiratory interventions, including the administration of medications and operation of respiratory devices.
- Continuously assess and adapt respiratory practices based on ongoing patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health, care plans, and available community support resources.
- Take an active role on emergency response teams during code situations.
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Respiratory Therapist credential.
- Proven clinical experience in respiratory care, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
- Up-to-date certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to remain composed and effective in emergent situations.
