Qualifications:
- Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Respiratory Therapy
- Valid NYS license and registration as a Respiratory Therapist
- Minimum 2 years post-A.A.S. clinical acute care experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Pre-employment health clearance required
Responsibilities:
- Administer positive pressure and aerosol therapy
- Institute and monitor oxygen therapy for patients
- Collaborate with physicians to initiate and maintain continuous ventilation
- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed
- Conduct pulmonary function testing and radial arterial punctures
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in acute care settings with minimal supervision
