Job Description

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Pediatric ICU or Neonatal ICU settings
  • Detailed knowledge and clinical competency in pediatric and neonatal respiratory therapies
  • Current state respiratory care practitioner license (or eligibility)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking abilities
  • Capacity to independently manage high-acuity cases and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Schedule:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Administer, monitor, and adjust respiratory care to critically ill pediatric and neonatal patients in accordance with established protocols
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status, response to therapy, and progress towards care goals
  • Operate and maintain various respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery devices
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans
  • Provide rapid interventions in emergency situations, including code response
  • Educate patients families on respiratory care and appropriate home care techniques
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and infection control guidelines
