Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Proven experience in acute care or hospital settings
• Ability to perform arterial blood gas analysis, ventilator management, and other critical respiratory procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and strong clinical assessment abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver respiratory care to patients of all ages according to physician orders and best practices
• Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy interventions, adjusting care as needed based on patient response
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients, perform airway management, and administer aerosol medications
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas sampling
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses thoroughly and accurately in medical records
• Educate patients and their families about respiratory conditions, equipment operation, and self-care techniques
• Coordinate care and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and allied health team members to optimize patient outcomes
