Schedule:
- Contract position; hours and shift details provided during the interview process
Qualifications:
- Current and valid license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program (Associate's or Bachelors degree)
- Certification in BLS; ACLS, NRP, and/or PALS preferred
- Proven clinical competency in administering respiratory therapy to diverse patient populations, from neonatal to adult
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Previous experience in an acute care or trauma setting strongly preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor therapeutic respiratory treatments and procedures for patients with compromised cardiopulmonary function
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to develop and adjust patient care plans
- Assess, document, and report patient response to treatments and make recommendations as needed
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, and ventilator management
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and code calls as part of the hospitals rapid response team
- Maintain strict adherence to infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards
