An opportunity is available for a Registered Respiratory Therapist in Arroyo Grande, CA, to provide both basic and advanced respiratory care services. This role requires a skilled therapist who can work independently and oversee others as needed. Care is primarily provided to adult and geriatric patients, addressing respiratory diseases and conditions with treatments directed by physicians and aligned with department protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
  • Perform interventions as ordered by physicians, adhering to standardized respiratory therapy practices.
  • Manage supervision of respiratory care activities when delegated.
  • Accurately document patient care activities, complete electronic medical records, flow sheets, and handle billing processes.
  • Maintain compliance with all department policies and professional standards.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Proficiency in respiratory care procedures for adult and geriatric populations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively supervise others.
  • Strong documentation and electronic medical record skills.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred.
