Key Qualifications:

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• State licensure as required for respiratory therapy practice
• BLS and ACLS certification (active and in good standing)
• Recent experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Proficiency in advanced respiratory support modalities, including mechanical ventilation and airway management
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement effective respiratory therapy for patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels
• Monitor patient responses to therapy, providing timely adjustments as needed
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment
• Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy
• Participate in rapid response and code blue situations, contributing specialized skills
• Accurately document care provided and patient progress in compliance with standards and regulations
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and equipment use
• Collaborate with the broader care team on individualized patient care plans
