Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- State licensure as required for respiratory therapy practice
- BLS and ACLS certification (active and in good standing)
- Recent experience in acute care or hospital setting
- Proficiency in advanced respiratory support modalities, including mechanical ventilation and airway management
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement effective respiratory therapy for patients with a variety of diagnoses and acuity levels
- Monitor patient responses to therapy, providing timely adjustments as needed
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ventilators and other respiratory equipment
- Administer aerosolized medications, oxygen therapy, and chest physiotherapy
- Participate in rapid response and code blue situations, contributing specialized skills
- Accurately document care provided and patient progress in compliance with standards and regulations
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions and equipment use
- Collaborate with the broader care team on individualized patient care plans
