Schedule/Hours:
- 36-hour workweeks
- Rotating shifts
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays required
Qualifications:
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
- Active state license (or eligibility to obtain in MA)
- Recent clinical experience in acute care respiratory settings
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures per physician orders
- Assess and monitor patient response to treatment and adjust therapies accordingly
- Manage mechanical ventilation and complex airway management
- Document treatment, observations, and progress in medical records
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response teams
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and equipment use
