Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sign Language Interpreter to join our network of dedicated professionals. As a Remote Sign Language Interpreter, you will provide comprehensive sign language interpretation services to students in Michigan, facilitating effective communication and ensuring equal access to educational opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Provide sign language interpretation services to students during live online sessions.
- Interpret classroom lectures, discussions, and educational materials accurately and effectively.
- Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in all interactions.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
- Maintain accurate records of interpreting sessions and student progress.

Requirements:
- Michigan certified interpreter with valid EIPA Performance score of 4.0 or higher or if you have over 3.5 EIPA and are willing to apply for LARA waiver upon receipt of offer.  If you have 3.5-4.0, you must have received their EIPA test scores within the last 24 months to be eligible for a waiver.
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with Deaf culture.
- Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and appropriate technology setup for remote work.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying student needs and communication styles.
