This opportunity calls for a skilled Radiation Therapist with proven expertise in administering radiation therapy in accordance with physician directives. The role involves delivering compassionate care to patients across all age groups and supporting them through their treatment journey. Adept communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will collaborate closely with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare teams to ensure effective and safe treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist, maintaining precise patient positioning using immobilization devices.
• Educate patients on the treatment process, managing their expectations and easing concerns.
• Perform daily equipment warm-ups and maintain accurate logs, reporting any irregularities.
• Conduct simulations, generate radiographs, and apply treatment area markings with safety and accuracy.
• Monitor patients throughout treatment via audio and visual contact, track adverse reactions, and communicate concerns to appropriate medical staff.
• Ensure all documentation, including consents, pathology, and treatment records, are complete and up to date.
• Maintain cleanliness and supply levels in treatment and simulation areas.
• Participate actively in performance improvement initiatives and attend required educational sessions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy (attach certification with application).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (attach certification).
• Demonstrated experience using Elekta radiation therapy equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
